I became an educator because… of my own educational experience which started as a volunteer in the classroom that sparked my desire, motivation and determination to help my community stay in school and pursue higher education.

Prior to Equitas, I… was working at a daycare and at a program that offered daycare services for conventions.

I chose Equitas because… I was offered liberty in creating an Art History curriculum founded in the arts and activism. The community, scholars, and families truly emulate collaborative work, I have enjoyed making relationships with them throughout the years.

Outside of school, I enjoy… going to concerts, spending time with family and friends, playing with my film camera.
