Substitute Teacher

I became an educator because… I have a passion for helping children become the best versions of themselves. I love being a part of their learning journey and experiencing those aha moments with them.

Prior to Equitas, I… graduated from CSUDH with a Bachelor's degree in Liberal Studies. I then started working in education as a teacher's assistant and then a substitute teacher. I have worked at the elementary level and middle school level.

I chose Equitas because… the community reminds me of home. It is similar to where I grew up and I wanted to help give back to our community and our children.

Outside of school, I enjoy… hanging out with family and friends. I also love going on hikes and experiencing nature. If I am home I like to watch movies or the cooking channel.
