I became an educator because… I became an educator because I wanted to make a difference in my community. I want to inspire kids to take full advantage of all of the benefits of a high quality education. I want to inspire kids to feel proud of who they are and help them leverage their talents and brilliance to positively impact our community.

Prior to Equitas, I… I was the Chief of Staff at San Diego Unified School District. Before that I served students in Los Angeles Unified as a middle school teacher and high school principal.

I chose Equitas because… I was inspired by Equitas' story and was so impressed by the relationships between adults and students. I love that our students get to learn in impeccable school buildings and classrooms that value and prioritize both student well being and high quality teaching and learning.

Outside of school, I enjoy… reading, yoga, cooking, dancing, hiking, tennis and traveling
