I became an educator because… I was inspired by great educators in my own life. I stay in education because I firmly believe it is the most powerful tool in fighting inequity.

Prior to Equitas, I… Taught upper elementary and middle school, worked for Teach For America - New Jersey, and went to grad school at Teachers College, Columbia and the Broad Center for Urban Education.

I chose Equitas because… I get to work with talented, passionate, and fun people to create excellent educational opportunities in the Pico Union community.

Outside of school, I enjoy… Reading, cooking, running, and spending time with family.
