I became an educator because… I want to make sure that scholars have a place where they belong. Assuring this means students feel safe to learn and be themselves.

Prior to Equitas, I… Went to CSUSM and Concordia for my bachelors and multiple subject credential while working at a preschool. I took some time off to raise my son and then chose Equitas as my first teaching job.

I chose Equitas because… I met friendly people during my interview, I was really interested in serving this particular community and I identified with many of the values they listed.

Outside of school, I enjoy… Phoenix Suns basketball, reading and exploring bookstores and the desert, trying new bakeries and eating pizza!
