I became an educator because… Inspiration, happiness and fulfillment... working behind the scenes and hearing of stories of a scholar discovering their passion, experiencing success in learning, or coming to understand the importance of perseverance. One of my favorite moments was seeing a few scholars at EQ5/6 run up to Sofia Roditti, CEO, and give her a hug after school and in their sweet little voice, "Bye Miss Sofia." As an observer, the bond, trust and love was incredible to witness.

Prior to Equitas, I… was a former executive assistant to a real estate broker/partner. In addition, I have worked as a front desk administrator and event planner.

I chose Equitas because… I want to make a difference in the lives of children and their families. I want the Pico Union community to have the same opportunities as all communities.

Outside of school, I enjoy… Spending time with husband and four kids. We attend LOTS of youth sporting events. I love iced Americanos, baseball (Go Mariners!), football (Go UW Huskies!), traveling, running, hiking, and country music. :)
