I became an educator because… As someone who was always quiet and shy at school, I have always wanted to help those who suffer the same way. I had difficulties talking and engaging with my peers. I craved connection, but struggled with creating lasting friendship and understanding my reactions to situations. I truly believe that if I can help even one person in this way, I have made a difference.

Prior to Equitas, I… I worked as a middle school counselor for 2 years in University Park.

I chose Equitas because… Of Equitas’ goal to make college available to all of its students. I have been at Equitas for 2 years and am incredibly help with the focus on educating the whole student and emphasis of community. I am proud to be part of the Equitas counseling department.

Outside of school, I enjoy… All things Disney, reading and watching movies. I love family dinners and trying new restaurants.
