I became an educator because… From first hand experience, I was impacted by the huge gaps in high quality education and opportunities for students and families of marginalized communities. Despite the odds, I was able to be the first in my family to graduate from a university, but that wasn't the case for many of my peers and it propelled me into wanting to be part of the movement in closing these gaps for students just like me.

Prior to Equitas, I… I was working with at-risk and incarcerated youth and supporting them with academic, career and social emotional counseling.

I chose Equitas because… of the belief that all students can achieve their full potential regardless of their backgrounds. The love and care also comes through in the beautiful spaces our students enjoy and are worthy of.

Outside of school, I enjoy… Traveling, shopping, music and going to Los Angeles teams sporting events, go Dodgers!
