I became an educator because… I am a strong advocate in supporting the education and empowerment of all youth including those in communities that are often overlooked or under served. Coming from a similar community myself, I know how important providing opportunities and quality education is to supporting a bright future for our kids.

Prior to Equitas, I… worked for many years supporting education in the after school space through the arts. I helped build and develop music programs with a focus of bringing the arts back to schools and creating a space that fostered positive youth development.

I chose Equitas because… I strongly believe in their mission of putting people first including scholars, families, and staff.

Outside of school, I enjoy… going to the movies, trying different types of food, and staying active with running and hiking.
