I became an educator because… I have spent my career learning about the needs of students across the city, and learned about the various forms of educational inequality that exist throughout. I wanted to take part in shortening that gap.

Prior to Equitas, I… was born and raised in South Central Los Angeles. I obtained my B.A from UCLA, and worked as an after-school coach, and instructional assistant.

I chose Equitas because… it provides opportunities for consistent growth.

Outside of school, I enjoy… watching soccer, playing video games, and traveling.
