I became an educator because… Driven by a profound love for children and a personal journey marked by the absence of influential teachers during my own formative years, I have dedicated my career to education. With a deep-seated passion for nurturing young minds, my goal is to be the inspirational figure that I longed for in my youth. Fueled by the belief that every child deserves a mentor, I am committed to shaping the next generation, providing them with not just knowledge but also guidance, support, and someone they can look up to in their journey of learning and growth.

Prior to Equitas, I… my educational foundation was built at California State University, Northridge (CSUN), where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Child Development with a minor in Deaf Studies. This academic journey equipped me with a comprehensive understanding of child development and an appreciation for the diverse needs of young learners.

I chose Equitas because… My professional journey at Equitas has been a testament to the organization's commitment to fostering growth and development. Starting as an after-school program leader in 2015, I embraced the opportunity for hands-on experience with children. Following my graduation from CSUN in 2017, my dedication and passion for education led me to take on the role of instructional aid, where my growth trajectory continued. In 2018, I enthusiastically accepted the position of an enrichment teacher, specializing in American Sign Language. This role not only allowed me to share my expertise but also reinforced my belief in the power of inclusive and diverse educational experiences.

Outside of school, I enjoy… and find balance in various aspects of life. A dedicated fitness enthusiast, you can often find me at the gym, where I not only maintain physical well-being but also cultivate discipline and resilience. Above all, my heart lies with spending quality time with my loved ones. Whether it's engaging in meaningful conversations, creating lasting memories, or simply enjoying each other's company
