I became an educator because… a joyful classroom can be a safe place for all scholars to explore new ideas, reach their goals and learn new things about themselves!

Prior to Equitas, I… graduated from Michigan State University and spent my first two years teaching in Detroit, Michigan. I gained lifelong friendships and learned from many experiences that led me to be the educator I am now.

I chose Equitas because… of the commitment to support all scholars from tK through 8th grade. I choose Equitas because of the community that families have welcomed me into so lovingly.

Outside of school, I enjoy… hiking in and around Los Angeles, trying new restaurants and planning my next trip. During the hot, sunny, summer days you'll find me going to the beach with a good book!
