I became an educator because… I am deeply passionate about empowering and inspiring young minds. Witnessing the transformative impact education can have on individuals and communities is what brings me joy. I believe that education is the key to unlocking opportunities and fostering positive change.

Prior to Equitas, I… earned my Bachelor of Arts in English and Communication Studies from The University of Queensland in Australia, followed by a Masters in Elementary Education. My journey in education began as an elementary school teacher in Australia, where I taught for four years. Additionally, I had the privilege of teaching English language learners for two years in South Korea.

I chose Equitas because… of its unwavering commitment to transforming the lives of its scholars, families, and community. The dedication and hard work demonstrated by all members of the Equitas team are truly admirable as they empower students and pave the way for their success in college and beyond. I am inspired by the collective effort to make a lasting impact on the lives of students and the broader community.

Outside of school, I enjoy… traveling the world to learn about history and new cultures and eat delicious food, scuba diving to discover and explore new things, playing tennis, and spending time with my two dogs, Hunter and Artemis.
