I became an educator because… I believe that every person is on a never-ending journey to become smarter, wiser, and more fulfilled. As an educator, I have the honor of being a part of that journey for countless young people and adults.

Prior to Equitas, I… Studied at UC Berkeley, UC Irvine, the National University of Ireland at Galway, USC, UC Santa Barbara, CSU Northridge, and Georgetown University... taught middle school and high school English... coached basketball, served as an athletic director, and was president of the board of CIF Los Angeles City Section... served as an instructional coach, a curriculum developer, an assistant principal, and a principal; coached, trained, and supervised principals; founded a company that provides executive coaching and leadership development training.

I chose Equitas because… I love being a part of a community of educators who are eager to get continually better at what we do. Equitas challenges me to learn new skills, hone my competencies, and imagine new ways of having a positive impact!

Outside of school, I enjoy… Rock climbing, running, hiking, swimming, writing, playing with my German Shepherd, and spending time surrounded by nature.
