I became an educator because… my favorite teachers helped me love school. I believe that cultivating a love of learning can be a foundational step towards achieving success. I want every scholar to have access to a high quality education and truly enjoy learning.

Prior to Equitas, I… was a part of the Liberal Studies Integrated Teaching Education Program, earning my teaching credential and undergraduate degree simultaneously from San Francisco State University. I Lived in the Bay Area and worked in Oakland as a kindergarten teacher for 4 years before moving to Los Angeles.

I chose Equitas because… everyone was very welcoming and supportive. It’s an organization rooted in community and growth, that is dedicated to providing quality education to scholars and families in a traditionally underserved community.

Outside of school, I enjoy… time with family, beach days with friends, organizing, watching movies and being a new mom. Watching my son learn to do new things is just the best!
