I became an educator because… I have a passion for fostering growth, intellectual curiosity, and cultivating a love for learning in scholars.

Prior to Equitas, I… I was the first in my family graduate from a university. I graduated from Loyola Marymount University with a BA in Liberal Studies with a special education concentration and my CA multiple subjects teaching credential. Throughout my time at LMU, I worked with K-5 students as a reading and writing tutor, taught restorative art classes, and spent my summers teaching chemistry and biology to first and second graders at the California Science Center camp.

I chose Equitas because… The Equitas mission statement aligns with my values and call to education.My experiences attending inner-city public schools gave me a clear perspective on the need for high quality and dedicated teachers to serve students and their families in order to get them to and through college.

Outside of school, I enjoy… spending time with my family, running, and exploring new restaurants.
