RSP Teacher
I became an educator because… I want to show young people the power of their voices and that they have the ability to make great change happen in our world. My hope is to instill a lifetime love of learning and growth that they can carry with them forever.
Prior to Equitas, I… grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania until relocating to Erie, Pennsylvania to attend Mercyhurst University. During my undergraduate studies, I earned bachelor’s degrees in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, and minors in Psychology and Teaching Language Learners. I moved to Los Angeles in 2019 to attend Loyola Marymount University for graduate school where I earned a master’s degrees in Urban Education and Literacy Instruction, as well as my Reading Specialist Credential.
I chose Equitas because… I believe in creating inclusive learning environments where students feel safe, valued, and respected. I hope to build and sustain meaningful relationships with the scholars and families in the Pico-Union community, ensuring that all children believe in their limitless potential.
Outside of school, I enjoy… hiking, paddle boarding, going to the beach, and traveling to new places.
