I became an educator because… I wanted to support students from diverse backgrounds who in the past may have been marginalized by society.

Prior to Equitas, I… graduated high school in 2021 with high honors and was part of the Tajima High dance team. I also attended Equitas Academy #2 and was their first culminating class in 2017! Before I worked at Equitas I also worked in a Japanese restaurant for two years.

I chose Equitas because… it felt familiar. I believed in what they taught me as a student and I wanted to continue that as an instructor.

Outside of school, I enjoy… practices with my dance team, spending time with my nieces and nephews and reading a good book.
