Gregory Valdivia

Community Schools Coordinator

Mr. Valdivia has over a decade of experience working in Education in New York City and Los Angeles, and is thrilled to begin his 4th year serving the Equitas community. Mr Valdivia holds two Bachelor’s degrees in Communication and Ethnic Studies from the University of California, San Diego. In 2014, he immediately began his career working to combat the national dropout rate by serving youth in the South Bronx of New York City, where he helped raise over $1 million for NYC public schools. In 2019, he moved back to California serving South Los Angeles as a Math Intervention Specialist. This year he begins a new role as the Community Schools Coordinator, where he is most excited about creating new partnerships and building a strong community network for the families at Equitas. When he is not working, you will find Mr Valdivia dancing, running, laughing, cooking, and talking to loved ones.
