I became an educator because… I believe that education is the most powerful tool we have, and I find nothing more joyful or exciting than watching someone build upon their love of learning.

Prior to Equitas, I… Worked as a substitute teacher and intervention teacher in a school district outside of Sacramento, CA.

I chose Equitas because… I love the model that focuses on one community. I grew up in small towns, and I believe that the best schools are ones that know, listen, and respond to the needs of their community.

Outside of school, I enjoy… spending time with my husband and 2 daughters, as well as cooking, traveling, and camping.
